Winner Announcement for Dress Up Your Kid like a Fisherboy or Fishergirl Competition

The Department of Fisheries, in collaboration with MyGov, organised the nationwide activity “Dress Up Your Kid like a Fisherboy or Fishergirl” with the objective of engaging stakeholders and promoting awareness about the rich cultural heritage and the modernization of India’s fisheries sector via welfare schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMMKSSY), and the Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF), etc. The contest encouraged children to creatively portray both the traditional fisher identity along with the emerging modern, tech-enabled fisher community of India empowered by the various welfare schemes led by the Department of Fisheries
